We already changed the name of the school from Abraham Lincoln High to Nyarlathotep Academy

I still can't focus on schoolwork. Ever since I read that tripe this morning......God, now I know why you don't take all teacher ed courses at once. THis is fucking murder.

The basic premise of every single fucking class is

- integrate disciplines
- assess and regulate your teaching
- Vygotsky <3

Every class. It's all the same idea. You do it for one - you can do it for the rest. It's not a huge mystery.

On the other hand - while I was working today I listened to a lot of good music. Portishead's Third is AMAZING.

I think this guy has some pretty on-target ideas about improving schools. Philly could use this.
The children are our future and that it's the school board's obligation to make sure they are fully versed in the unspeakable horrors still to come.
Anyway, if the teaching degree doesn't work out, there are other means to ends.
Specifically, the end of my fleeting youth and my ability to trust anyone ever again

Myth 12: Kids today are worse than ever before

"'The children now love luxury. They have bad manner, contempt for authority, they show disrespect for adults, and love to talk rather than work or exercise. They no longer rise when adults enver the room. They contradict their parents, chatter in front of company, gobble down food at the table, and intimidate their teachers.'

This version of the myth was written by Socrates about 2,400 years ago.

Shakespeare added: "I would that there were no age between 10 and 3 and 20 - or that boys would simply sleep out the rest, for there is nothing in the between but getting wenches with child, wronging the ancestry, stealing and fighting.'"

--Bill Ayers
To Teach: The Journey of a Teacher

From the same:

"Teaching is an act of love."

Le sommeil a pris ton empreinte
Et la colore de tes yeux.

--Paul Eluard

Sleep has taken on your impression
And the color of your eyes.
